Manual Creation
Building trivia manually gives you complete control over every question. This is the way to go when you have specific content in mind, want to craft questions for a particular audience, or just enjoy the creative process.
Getting Started
From your Dashboard, click “Build Manually”. You can also find this option in the Quick Actions menu.
Step 1: Define Your Trivia
Start by setting up the basics:
- Title — Give your trivia a name that players will see (e.g., “Ultimate Movie Quiz” or “Friday Team Trivia”)
- Category — Pick a category to help organize your trivia sets
- Description — Add a short description so you remember what this trivia is about
Step 2: Add Questions
Now the fun part — adding questions one by one. For each question, you will:
- Enter the question text — Write clear, unambiguous questions
- Choose a question type — Select from Single Choice, Multiple Choice, True/False, Text Answer, Nearest Number, or Range. See Question Types for a full breakdown of each format.
- Add answer options — Provide the possible answers (format varies by question type)
- Mark the correct answer(s) — Indicate which option(s) are correct
Optional Extras
- Hints — Add a hint for each question. These are revealed when a player uses the Hint power-up during a game session. A good hint nudges players in the right direction without giving the answer away.
- Extra points — Assign bonus points to specific questions to make them worth more. Great for final rounds or particularly tough questions.
[!TIP] Write your questions as if you are reading them out loud to a group. Keep them clear, concise, and fun. Avoid overly long question text — players are reading on their phones during a live game.
Supported Question Types

For a detailed guide on each type, including scoring and tips, visit Question Types.
Saving and Editing
When you are happy with your questions, save your trivia. But do not worry about getting everything perfect on the first pass — you can always come back and edit later.
- Add more questions to an existing trivia
- Remove or reorder questions
- Update question text, answers, or settings
- Change the trivia title, category, or description
[!NOTE] Your trivia is saved to your account and accessible from the “My Trivias” page anytime. See Managing Your Trivia for more on organizing your trivia sets.
