How It Works
- During the Power-Up Selection phase, pick 50/50 Eraser.
- When the next question starts, two wrong answers are automatically removed from your screen.
- You see fewer options, making it easier to choose the correct answer.
No opponent targeting needed — this one is all about giving yourself a better shot.
Compatibility
The 50/50 Eraser works best with question types that have multiple answer options:
| Question Type | Works? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Single Choice | Yes | Two wrong options are removed |
| Multiple Choice | Yes | Two wrong options are removed |
| True/False | No | Only two options — nothing to remove |
| Text Answer | No | No options to remove (free-text input) |
| Nearest Number | No | No options to remove (numeric input) |
[!NOTE] If you use the 50/50 Eraser on a question type that does not have enough options to remove, it may have no effect. Save it for multiple-choice rounds to get the most value.
[!TIP] Strategy tip: Save the 50/50 Eraser for questions where you are genuinely stuck. If you already know the answer, you are better off using a different power-up. This one shines when you can narrow it down but need a little help eliminating the noise.
When to Use It
- When you are unsure between several answer options
- On particularly tough questions where guessing is likely
- When the question category is outside your comfort zone
