The Hints power-up reveals a helpful hint for the current question, giving you a nudge in the right direction without giving away the answer.

At a Glance

How It Works

1. During the Power-Up Selection phase, pick Hints.
2. When the next question starts, a hint text appears on your screen alongside the question.
3. Use the hint to guide your thinking and improve your chances of answering correctly.

Hints are written by the trivia creator when building their questions. Each hint is tailored to the specific question, so they are genuinely useful rather than generic.

[!NOTE] Hints depend on the trivia creator adding them when building questions. If no custom hint was added to a question, a default hint may appear instead. The quality and helpfulness of hints varies based on what the creator wrote.

[!TIP] Strategy tip: Hints are perfect when you are close to knowing the answer but need a nudge in the right direction. If you are completely lost on a topic, the 50/50 Eraser might be a better choice since it directly removes wrong answers.

When to Use It

• When you have a rough idea of the answer but are not quite sure
• On questions where a small clue could make all the difference
• When you want a safe, reliable advantage without targeting anyone
