Managing Your Subscription
Everything you need to view, change, or cancel your TriviaNow subscription.
View Your Current Plan
- Open your Dashboard.
- Go to Subscription.
- You’ll see your plan name, subscription status, and next billing date.
Change Your Plan
Click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe billing portal. From there you can upgrade or downgrade your plan.
Upgrading
- Takes effect immediately.
- You get the new plan’s features and credit allocation right away.
- Billing is prorated — you only pay the difference for the rest of your current cycle.
Downgrading
- Takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- You keep your current plan’s features until then.
- Your credit balance adjusts when the new plan kicks in.
Cancel Your Subscription
- Click Manage Subscription on your Dashboard.
- Select Cancel in the Stripe billing portal.
- Confirm the cancellation.
You keep access to your subscriber features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued.
[!NOTE] Cancelling doesn’t delete your account. Your trivia, settings, and game history are all preserved.
Resubscribe
If you cancelled but your billing period hasn’t ended yet, you may be able to reactivate your subscription from the Stripe portal. Otherwise, you can subscribe to a new plan at any time.
Subscription Status Meanings
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Your subscription is active and all features are available. |
| Trialing | You’re in a free trial period. |
| Cancelling | You cancelled, but you still have access until the end of your billing period. |
| Past Due | Payment failed — update your payment method to avoid losing access. |
| Cancelled / Inactive | Your subscription has ended. Subscribe again to regain access. |
Payment Issues
”Past Due” status
Your card was declined or the payment didn’t go through. Go to Manage Subscription to update your payment method. Once payment succeeds, your access is restored.
[!WARNING] If your subscription lapses, you lose access to subscriber features like power-ups and higher player limits — but your data and trivia are safe. Subscribe again to pick up where you left off.
”You already have an active subscription”
You can’t have two subscriptions at once. If you see this error, manage your existing subscription instead of trying to create a new one.
