TriviaNow offers two ways to access premium features: purchasing individual credit packs or subscribing to a monthly plan. Here’s how they compare and how to choose the right option for you.
Credits (Pay-As-You-Go)
Credit packs are one-time purchases that add credits to your balance. You use them whenever you want, with no recurring commitment.
- Buy only what you need, when you need it.
- Purchased credits don’t expire (or expire much later, per our Terms of Service).
- No access to subscriber-only features like power-ups or higher player limits.
Subscription (Monthly Plan)
A monthly subscription gives you a bundle of credits that refreshes every billing cycle, plus access to premium features that credit-only users don’t get.
- Credits are included and refresh automatically each month.
- Unlocks premium features: power-ups, higher player limits, priority support, and advanced host controls.
- Lower effective cost per credit compared to standalone packs.
- Unused subscription credits do not carry over — use them or lose them.

Can You Have Both?
Yes. Many TriviaNow hosts subscribe to a monthly plan for the premium features and discounted credits, then purchase additional credit packs when they have an especially busy month.
The system handles this automatically — subscription credits are used first (since they expire at the end of your billing cycle), and purchased credits are saved for when you need them.

Managing Your Subscription
- Upgrade or downgrade anytime from Dashboard > Billing > Subscription.
- Cancel anytime — you’ll keep full access to subscriber features until the end of your current billing period.
- After cancellation, any remaining subscription credits stay available until your billing period ends.
- Purchased credit packs remain in your account regardless of subscription status.
