Time Thief

The Time Thief power-up lets you steal precious seconds from an opponent’s answer timer. Less time means more pressure — and more mistakes.

How It Works

During the Power-Up Selection phase, pick Time Thief.
Select which opponent you want to target.
When the next question starts, your target’s answer timer loses 10 seconds.
The targeted player sees a notification letting them know time is being stolen.

The stolen seconds are gone — there is no way for the target to get them back. If the question timer is normally 30 seconds, your opponent will only have 20 seconds to answer.

What the Target Sees

The targeted player receives a notification that they are losing time. Their timer visibly ticks down faster, making it clear they are under attack.

[!TIP] Strategy tip: Use Time Thief on the player in first place to slow them down. Shaving 10 seconds off a leader’s timer can be the difference between a correct and an incorrect answer, especially on harder questions.

When to Use It

When the leader is pulling ahead and you need to close the gap
On rounds with shorter timers where every second counts
When you want to rattle an opponent who is on a hot streak
