Hosting Sessions

You are the game master! Hosting a session in TriviaNow means you are in charge of the fun — from launching the game to crowning the winner. Whether it is a casual hangout or a big event, hosting is straightforward and puts you in full control.

The Session Lifecycle

Every TriviaNow session follows a simple flow:

  1. Create — Pick a trivia set (or let AI surprise you), configure your settings, and generate a PIN.
  2. Lobby — Players join using your PIN or QR code. You can see who is in and start whenever you are ready.
  3. Live — The game is on! Questions roll, players answer, and the leaderboard heats up. You control the pace.
  4. Completed — The game wraps up, final scores are revealed, and you can review everything in your session history.

That is it. Four phases, zero stress.

What You Can Do as a Host

As the host, you have the power to:

  • Launch sessions with your own trivia or AI-generated questions on the fly
  • Share your game via a 6-digit PIN, QR code, or direct invitations
  • Control the flow — pause, skip, force reveals, or end the game at any time
  • Customize everything — timers, scoring, power-ups, teams, and more
  • Review past sessions — check scores, answers, and replay your best games
